Why do I need a Charging Station?
Safe and quick charging of your Electric Vehicle
Electric Vehicles need to be charged for several hours and is taking full capacity of your energy. Therefore it is not safe to charge with a standard plug. There is a standard plug developed for charging electric vehicles. In Europe the Type 2 plug is the most common one used. In Japan and USA the Type 1 plug is the standard plug. All are using the Mode 3 communication and safety protocol. All our charging stations have the Type 2 sockets and Mode 3 controllers. You can upgrade the EV-Box charging stations at any time with GSM/GPS modem, RFID controller and payment options. It is also possible to brand your charging station in one of our standard colours or your own RAL colour. Also logo inserts are possible.

The EV-Box Pole Model has a modern, contemporary appearance and can be used in public spaces as well as on private property and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The housing is made of Bay-Blend (Polycarbonate) and is manufactured in The Netherlands. The EV-Box Pole Model has two 11 kW charging points and is available in different configurations. This Model is designed to be mounted on a standard traffic-sign pole. In the case of a collision, it will be sufficient to merely replace the pole in the majority of incidents.
- Curved Bracket
A curved stainless steel bracket model is also available, designed for mounting on the wall. Especially very usefull in public or private parking garages. - Wall model
The EV-Box Wall Model is actually a half Pole Model. It has the same unique features as the Pole Model. The 'Lite' version is supplied with a charging cable and plug for use at home. The aluminium backplate enables mounting to walls with any surface. The housing is colourfast, impact-resistant and fireproof.

EV-Box has developed a state-of-art, easy to use and fully accessible electric vehicle Charging Station for installation in private and public areas. The unit contains a Master Switch in the upper section and a compartment for the Grid Administrator in the lower section, which can be sealed separately. The Grid Administrator compartment has an IP67 rating, which meets all operational and safety requirements as prescribed by the power supplier’s grid regulations.
- BackOffice
Via the BackOffice it will be possible to control and observe the status of the charging column/station. Access authorisation and transaction history/overviews will be able to be controlled and viewed via a Web-interface. The operator of the charging station will be able to determine its own particular tariff and the structure of charges, as well as publish them via GoogleMaps. It is possible to create unique user files and user groups. Invoicing takes place automatically through electronic invoicing, direct-debiting or via a real-time payment system (e.g., an EFTPOS transaction on a Credit or Debit Card). Through engaging BackOffice, it will also be possible to “roam” with other providers and advertise the location of the charging station on the databases of NavTeq and TomTom. In addition, BackOffice is linked into the “CIR” (Central Interoperability Register) which makes the charging station fully interoperable with other participating power and recharge service suppliers. As a result, EV-BOX is able to offer you optimal functionality, maximum security and excellent service via its complete coverage and National network of service-dealers.
