TIM CORONEL INTRODUCES THE FIRST EV-CHARGING STATION IN HUIZEN

coronel kartracing huizen-evbox-300Huizen, January 24, 2012 - Last week, Tim Coronel was proud to install the first EV- Box charging station in the City of Huizen , with  Coronel Kart Racing at the Havenstraat 295. At this public charging station, any electric car, scooter or bicycle can be recharged . The charging point at Coronel Kart Racing is the first point  in Huizen, where one can go to and therefore it rightly can be called a scoop.

In early 2011 Tim Coronel hit a completely different direction with the introduction of the electric Dakar buggy. Coronel was looking for a way to a greener way of motorsport  and not much later the electric buggy was a fact. Unfortunately it was a bit too early for the Dakar 2012,  but developments did not stop this new pattern. Coronel was looking for more ways to make a contribution to a greener world and got in touch with EV-Box. The Almere based company focuses on developing electric charging points and now has many charging stations installed in various municipalities and works closely together with car manufacturers such as Tesla, Mitsubishi  and GM- Chevrolet.

Starting this week, Coronel Kart Racing in Huizen has been added to this list.

There is growing demand for charging stations for electric vehicles that slowly but surely begin to fill the streets. Several car manufacturers are bringing electric models on the market and also electric scooters and bicycles are becoming increasingly popular. The EV-Box charging point allows that the electrical driver is not only dependent on the socket in the wall of his home, but take care that he or she can safely return home after a night out with a fully charged battery. As well as this, using the EV-Box for charging can save up to  3 hours when loading the vehicle.

Tim Coronel is proud that the first electric charging point in Huizen has been installed at Coronel Kart Racing: "The EV-Box is the first in Huizen and it is good that we achieved this in cooperation with EV-Box. Developing the electric Dakar buggy I've become increasingly engrossed in the possibilities of the electric driving ,but came to the conclusion that there is actually far too few charging stations to be found. We hope that the charging point at Coronel Kart Racing will make a difference. Further Coronel joked: "An added benefit is that my electric Dakar buggy charges quickly if I want to drive a spin."

As of this week the new charging point at Coronel Kart Racing is in action and drivers of electric vehicles can get a charge at no further cost. Meanwhile there is time  for some karting or for a drink at  the cozy café.
